The Promise of Music
Gustavo Dudamel rehearses the Simón Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela in this award-winning documentary. It follows the musicians as they prepare for performance at the BeethovenFest in Bonn, Germany, in 2007. The DVD also includes the complete live Bonn performance, with Gustavo conducting Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 (“Eroica”), Moncayo’s Huapango, and the Malambo from Ginastera’s Estancia.
